Mark Hanson: Background
Mark Hanson joined Genstar Capital as an Operating Partner in 2006. He was a Managing Director from 2007 to 2014 and has served on the firm's Strategic Advisory Board since.
From 1998 to 2006 he was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief of Staff at Siebel Systems. Before that, from 1994 to 1998, he was President and COO of Visigenic Software, leading the company from startup through its IPO and sale to Borland.
Earlier in his career he held senior roles at Sybase, Macromedia and Informix.
Hanson is also co-founder and CEO of Bricoleur Vineyards.
